Hi Tadpole.
My bike is a 94 Rothmans, it's road legal, taxed etc, but I've removed the undertray, indicators, headlamp etc, as I want it for a track bike. I've made a new battery/undertray for it and taken the sidestand off coz it wouldnt work with the spaced out fairing panels.
Its not fully de-restricted yet, I've got an HRC card so its a case of getting it sorted to the PGM. So far it has pipes (hence the spaced panels) 2 degree key, 2 x 20mm holes in the airbox (didnt wanna go too far just yet) and jetted up a little. Runs reasonably well, never rode it standard but it needs some fettling, new rings too I think. Upper cylinder is running quite lean compared to lower, it was the lower that lost its RC valve nut but I'm not sure that richened it up.
The gearchange is appalling. I had an NC30, very slick by comparison to NSR. At Brands clutchless up-shifts were ok, but changing down was shocking. I've got the hub & basket off at mo, ideally they need replacing, not sure they'll clean up, new plates coming. I'd like to see less play in the mounts, but if Matt@Tyga reckons the standard ones are pretty good, it'd be nice to see another to compare.
