MC21 running hot in idle

pbekkerh » Tue Apr 30, 2013 4:32 pm

I started my SE today, FIRST KICK! After a long winter.
It wouldn't accept the gas at first but after running 5-10 minutes, with a little Injection Jet Cleaner added to the fuel it ran perfectly.

I then left it at idle, running it up to 6-7000 rpm, once in while and noticed the temp going up to almost 100 C. I don't remember seeing this before but then I always used to go on the track when I reached 60 C. I set a slowish blower in front of the radiator and the temp dropped to 90 C and I could feel a lot of heat coming off the radiator, so I guess the pump and circulation is OK.
If there is a problem, the only thing could be a partly blocked cooling system but I can't imagine what could block it.

Is it normal to go 100 C when idling? Air temp was about 16 C.

Any experience with this?
