Yes that's the kiddie (s) Smile

The 'only' way that I considered was a good test was to put the end in mouth and blow/suck. On one carb it was fine but the other was completely blocked. After I carefully used the 'carb wires' and blew brake cleaner then air through it it appeared to be similar to the other air jet. It certainly would have been better (in my opinon) to have remeoved it though!
Thanks for your consideration though Tuckerbag (what is your name), it's very much appreciated.

I have now completely stripped both carbs and cleaned all jets, checked, as much as I can, all airways, lightly oil the choke pistons, clean the needle slides and lubricate with ptfe based oil, checked and adjusted both float levels (13mm) and carefully rebuilt the carbs using all Standard jet sizes. This is on Noodles original carbs which had very poor starting and only running on one cylinder for several moments.
I intend to start at 'base' again with all standard settings and go from there. After all, I still have to run it in but I will get pulled up eventually by the police for laying 'smoke-screens' with the current carbs.

I'll let you know how it all goes.

Mike
