That will be why, in 1989 they scrapped the reverse cylinder idea, and then went through about 5 variations of 3XV V-twin, to catch up with the 1987 MC16E motor!

The "Reverse Seizure" isn't a bad bike by any means, but it's no NSR. Any engineer can see the Honda is the superior design, by a long way. A design that remained largely unchanged for 10 years, and for 5 years in Grands Prix.
