I looked at alternative carb rubbers, 'cos pre '93 ones are hard to come by now...
The RGV250 VJ22 RH carb rubber is about the right angle, would need a plate made up (I was going to use petrol/heat resistant plastic, or alloy) so it can be adapted on and angled outward
The 38mm carbs go into the RGV rubbers OK, just put the rubber in hot water for a bit first, and put some rubber gease on the carb end first then assemble and let it set.
If you have the carbs out for a couple of days at any stage, you'll have a dog of a job getting them back in.....
