Rear shock: rebuild or replace ?

rhyshrc » Mon Dec 09, 2013 7:21 pm

The SE/SP rear shock on my mc21 is shot and needs attention ASAP.

I was going to just get it rebuilt, but is there much point? I'm quite a bit heavier then what the shock was designed for @ 90KGS (not to mention way too tall, I look like a clown on the bike Surprised) so once rebuilt it will probably be far too soft ?

I have looked at maxton ohlins etc but I'm not doing anything serious with the bike so can't really justify £800+ for a shock.

Aware of the nitron kit but unfortunately I have reason not to go with one of those.

Any recommendations please ?
