I'll be racing at the island classic rather than doing a ride day - a ride day might sneak in along the way to assist with set up. But I generally don't like ride days as there are too many nuff nuffs with egos that get in the way (slow pokes who have done a few track days and decide they are 'experts' then park themselves on the apex at shopping trolley speed in the fast group). I'm no Jorge, but there are always a deluded few that make things more dangerous than it needs to be.

I guess I will have to fork out for a couple of sprockets (just trying to keep some costs down as I've a wedding to pay for this year!) I suspect one up on the front and two more options on the rear to make sure. I'll find out mid march with the first club race down there!

The island will be a cracker on the NSR. All about conservation of momentum and keeping the bike as WOT as long as you can. It's also likely to make me realise how slow I am in some turns on my MV....

FWIW I think PIRD is probably the best track day operator in Victoria, though that is more likely due to the track space available makes it seem less crowded when you are out there.
