Ethos Wire Splice

foxmcscrooge » Wed Mar 12, 2014 6:24 am

Hi All,

Was hoping someone coud assist? I acquired an HRC 030 PGMIV some while ago for my MC28. It came with an Ethos Wiresplice plugged into it. I've been chatting with the guys at Tyga are they aren't sure if the wire splice is for an MC21 or MC28. I'm concerned that if I use it I may fry my PGM. It has an orange wire with blue stripe that I assume is meant to run to 12v power. The 030 PGM works fine if I plug it straight to the wiring harness but there is no power to the PGM if I plug in the wiresplice without hooking up the orange wire. Does anyone have any experience with this type of wire splice and can you confirm it is for the MC28? If so is it OK to run the orange wire to the positive terminal on my battery to avoid cutting my wiring harness? Pictures attached below.

Thanks
JIm
