Yesterday I drove down to Southampton to pick up my bike at last.
Here's a pic of the chap at the depot shifting it.
Fitted nicely in the van. Didn't hear it rattling around at all on the trip home.
When I crowbarred off the the plywood panel I got to see my bike for the first time. It had a lovely musty smell like an old dry garage.
Like a twerp I left the £50 brand new bike ramp at the depot, so had to improvise getting the bike out of the van. Luckily my neighbour who's a body builder lifted it out.
Very happy and quite knackered from driving and getting the bike out of the crate.
There are a couple of cracks in the panels and some scratches but I'll get that sorted at a local paint shop that specialises in Lotus, plastic cars and bike plastics.
Need to get it registered, Speedo wired for MPH and MOT'd
