If you check out the diagram of the rear shock on the Online Parts Manual, you will see that the spring comes off from the bottom of the shock.
You will need to compress the spring (a couple of good heavy duty cable ties will do that) and then lift the spring seat up. Underneath the seat is a circlip. Remove the circlip, drop the seat out, and then the spring can be removed.
The diagrams in the Online Parts Manual will often guide you how to assemble/disassemble components - it's just a case of being a little more resourceful!!
