I'd pull the crank on any bike that old now, just to be sure, because if [heaven forbid] it was to let go, it can cause thousands in damage... which we've seen more than a few times recently! For the sake of some gaskets and seals, it's better to be sure. I wouldn't trust the mileage shown on anything!
It's not going to take much to get that '21 looking smart and running well. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the end result.
