Yesterday i had finally my first ride in the R5K after 8 months laying in the garage, as now is road legal.
I have been registering the bike since the purchase in October, but finally is done.
I have installed the oil pump, but for more security i placed a 2% of oil directly to the tank, and now the bike is very smokey.
What's the correct mix %? 2% or 4%?
It's the firts tank i have used after the purchase so i thounght it will be better with extra oil.
It starts at firt kick in the morning after 2 days so i think the engine is in good shape. I went for a 10km trip and the bike feels very nice and sounds superb.
At firts i stalled the bike a few times in first gear till i got the feeling of the clucth and revs but then it was all ok.
I need to check some parts as the fork seals and the front brake pads & rotors. I also need a new rear tyre, this one is new but it has some cracks because of the time, is was manufactured in 2000.
