I have 2 MC21 project bikes now....not quite sure how I ended up with 2 non-running NSR's but gives me fun projects for the winter. I'm planning on having Andy rebuild at least one motor for me but I'm also would like to customize one of the bikes a bit. I'd like to put an MC28 Proarm on one of them.
I've search all over for what's needed to do the conversion but all I have found sofar is hints to a "kit" or some such thing. I am aware of the pivot bolt diameter difference and the diameter of the mounting holes on the MC21 frame are smaller to....what do you need to do for the conversion?
Only options I can see are to sleeve the original MC21 pivot bolt to fit the larger bearings and spacers of the Proarm or replace all the bearings and fabricate spacers.....or mill the frame to fit the larger Proarm components?
Any advice or a link to a post would be appreciated....I did search but only found references to the conversion, no specific details..
Cheers
Scott
