If they slightly bent, but not creased [at the lower triple], then there should be every chance they can be straightened without the expense of re-chroming.
Straightening is probably as cheap (or close to it) as sourcing a replacement set of R forks, I expect.
Unluckily for me there is a crease so the stanchions need replacing. The MC21 looked like it had been into a ditch so I was expecting bent forks. Ideally I'd put a set of RVF400 forks on (with Tyga triples) but in Australia the RVF400 is actually an expensive bike because it's one of (if not the) fastest learner bike you can get. So the next option is to find one that's been wrecked and most of the time the forks are damaged. But I keep an eye out. If any other suitable forks come available (RS forks.. maybe, I wish) I'll look into it but for now the MC18 forks will have to do!
