You can fit a dry clutch kit to any MC16E cases. There are minor differences between the MC16, MC18, and MC21/28 cases, but all are easily overcome, and apparent when you start to try and retrofit parts.

Of course, if you are lucky, the F3 clutch kit you have found will actually be a 1988 kit, and bolt right on!!
