Hello "jumpjuly88", and welcome to NSR-WORLD.

I'm afraid you're fighting a bit of an uphill battle, with an MC16, for new/upgrade parts, however there are ways around it.

For discs, the only decent [new] alternative is EBC, but you are looking at around AU$700 (UK£370) for a set! However, you could fit an MC18/21 front-end.

There are a couple of issues with that, but nothing major. And with that upgrade you have larger 276mm discs, 4-pot calipers, and the option to fit forks adjustable for both pre-load and rebound.

As for expansion chambers, again limited options. Depending on your requirements, I would say modify a set of 1988 R2J chambers. They will take a little fiddling with the mounts, and the silencers will also locate differently, but the MC16 and 1988 MC18 lowers are for all intent and purposes the same, so the pipes should tuck in nicely. The stock MC18 R2J pipes are also very good, performance-wise, even if a little heavy.

Setup with MC18 pipes may be a bit fiddly, so expect a little dyno work.
