You'd need to ask an NGK representative... we'd only fit the plugs recommended by Honda, plus they are readily available, and cheap!

MC16s, and NSRs in general, are not known for eating spark plugs.

BR9EIX: approx £7.50ea
B9ES: approx £2.50ea

B9ECS somewhere in the middle. I guess, if the caps are buggered, then it may be worth looking in to resistor type plugs and silicone caps, but the stock stuff works perfectly well. Again, you'd need to check with NGK to be absolutely sure the conversion is OK with the '87 pre-PGM ignition. 1988 onwards use BR9ECMs. (About £6ea)
