To be fair, you don't actually need to bond the seal in. Agreed, it is a known event, but it's hardly common, and I expect the first time the seal has done that on your '21 in almost 25 years!
Any good automotive RTV sealant will do the job, if you really must bond it back in. Give it all a good clean and degrease, and push it back in, and it's probably good to go for another 25 years!
