I have just purchased a MC21 fresh from Japan and got it registered. The bike ran fine but today it died at the side of the road, on further inspection the ignition fuse had blown but after replacing it with a new one the bike refused to start. I took the seat unit off and turned the ignition on and the ECU got hot at the rear and the bike still would not start. Am I correct in thinking the ECU has failed? If so is this a common problem or could there be another problem that has caused this. Many thanks.

Do you know what the numbers are on the ECU? Mine has C1605A OD 251 written on it. I have seen some on Yahoo Japan but none with the same numbers.

As Richard J says, the chap in Greece repairs them if your stuck, or dont want to fork out a fortune for a second hand one. His name is Nick Prionas, i have dealt with him several times, top bloke, you will also find his advert on the dreaded flea-bay, he goes under the name Twostrokeracelab, look him up on google.
