Have a 21 thats been sat for a while and now refuses to start, battery is fully charged and the plugs are new but at best it starts for maybe 5 seconds then pops, backfires and stalls. Carbs have apparently been off and checked through although im not gonna take that as gospel so if anyone has any other ideas as what to check before i dive into the carbs let me know.
We had an MC21 bought in to us last summer running poorly. The carbs on that had already been checked too...
Also had an MC28 in that a "2-stroke specialist" had struggled to set up. We found one main jet loose, and the other rolling around in the float bowl!
I'd do the easy thing first, and pull the carbs off. A 10 minute job on an MC21. Hopefully it's nothing as sinister as a crank seal. _________________ Andy.
