MC18 Swingarm Question

Does anyone have an idea as to how thick the MC18 swingarm is, i have some gouges that i want to sand out but dont want to run the risk of going through it.

I think it's about 5mm. You can see the thickness around the chain tensioners

I would say the part Rob is refering to is the machined axle blocks which are welded to the end of the extruded sections of the swinging arm. I would estimate the extrusions to be no more than 1.5 to 2mm thick so go easy if you are blending damage to these areas.

As Paul says, aluminium is only a couple of mm thick so be careful. I had a MC16 one polished, but the deeper scratches remain.
