Hi javipop, i have RS125 and RS250 with drilled pistons, from the factory, these are full on race bikes, i also have modified mc21 i use for track days as well, no holes in pistons, and no problems with pistons overheating. I personally think it is not neccesary on standard NSR. Regards Les. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto

I havnt drilled my pistons either, but how hard do you ride it, does your nsr ever see the red line ? and what oil do you use ?
and what are you rebuild schedules ?

Hi Jonmac, questions, questions, questions, too many to answer, youv'e fried my poor old brain already, just like my NSR gets fried every time she gets taken out. Ill try my best to answer your questions, how hard do i ride it, well, at my age, as hard as i can, might not get another chance, does it ever see the red line?, oh sorry, i thought you said Red Lion, thats just down the road from me, now oil, igot me a tin in the back of the shed i uses for me chainsaw, she revs as well, so good enough, now on to rebuilds, done a top end 4 years ago, rags the nuts off it and wipes her down with an oily rag each time before she goes out. Still runs sweet as a nut. Hope this answers your questions. Regards Les. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
