I’m searching for a set of pipes for my mc28, and some DFR mild steel pipes are available but were on an mc21.

Were therr specific 21/28 pipes or are the 21 fit pipes the same for the 28 as well?

Yes, 21 and 28 pipes are specific, however I do believe some 21 pipes will fit.

Generally the RHS chamber on the MC28 set tucks in more where the swingarm is "missing", so you can fit an MC21 pipe there, but it sticks out in thin air a bit.
