MC18 Rear Shock fitting advice needed

Sat Dec 14, 2024 3:27 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have the MC18 R5k model and wanting to fit a rebuilt R6K shock. My question is whats needed to fit the res that comes off the shock. I can see where on the battery tray it should fit but cant see how to attach it there. Couldnt find anything in the parts manual or the general searches. Any advice or pictures would be fantastic.

Pretty sure the R6K has a different undertray, with a recess for the reservoir, which is then held in place by two large hose clamps. The part numbers for the R5K and R6K differ.

Hi Andy thank you for the reply. Managed to find some more information, my tray looks exactly like the pic attached which has the two brackets for the reservior. What I cant work out is how the two clips are mounted onto it. Either mine would require further modification to fit or im missing something. I cant seem to find anything in image searches that focus on this area in particular.
