Side note: It always helps to add your model to your profile, as it aids giving the correct advice sooner. It's no good someone with an MC28 currently reading the forum, giving advice to someone with an MC16, for example. _________________ Andy.

Sorry it's a 92' MC21SE. In my user profile it's different for example as yours. Impossible to fill a "Model" field or similar.
Back to the question , I think the first thing to put off is the glove box?
There should be somewhere to add your model, I'll check it in the settings.
Back to your question...
Remove the rider's seat pad (obviously!)
Remove the locking glovebox door.
Remove the two M6 (10mm hex) screws securing the black inner glovebox to the subframe
Remove the four large cross-head screws securing the seat to the subframe
Pop the locating pins out from the sides of the fuel tank
Lift the rear of the seat unit up, and disconnect the tail light from the wiring harness
Gently slide the whole seat unit backwards and upwards. Take care not to scratch the tank with the "pins" that press into the rubber grommets on the bottom/side of the fuel tank.
The pillion (passenger) seat pad is held in place by the strap (wraps around the glovebox and then screws into two pressed-in "nuts" underneath)...
...and a single Phillips head screw under the seat top panel.
That should do you! Let us know how you get on. _________________ Andy.
