Whoohoo! Registration accepted! Being from Cali. and being stationed in Japan was perfect for geting my hands on a two-stroke. Crummy EPA won't let honda send them back there. I'll find a way though...

Anyway, I just got my hands on my '92 SE and wondering if the clutch is supposed to make that much noise? I might go to a wet clutch if it isn't too much trouble.

Yes it's meant to, and it's awesome! Don't convert it!

What you may find is that the rubber dampers have perished, and it's louder than it should be.

Remove the plastic cover, and see if you can spot four rubber blocks on the outer edges of the clutch plates. (Have a look at the parts section to see more clearly what I mean).

If they're missing, the clutch still works fine, but is louder than Honda intended.

... so if I were to remove those rubber dampers from my dry clutch, it will be even louder!

COOL!! Laughing

As far as I know, I don't think this thing has been taken apart once. I have yet to take a wrench to it. The used bike dude did a compression test and said it was good. Odo. reads 21,000 KM so I'm guessing that they're most likely worn. Other then the few nicks and scratches here and there, it should clean up nice. I probabally paid too much too, but I knew what it was worth. It was the only one I found out of the dozen bike shops I've been to here.

Was 4K US too much?

(I hope the pictures work....)

The pics do work, but they're huge!

Can you crop them down a bit to 600 wide maximum?
