Burnt transistors in PGM3

Sat Nov 12, 2005 12:51 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have been trying to identfy the 4 transistors located in the centre of my PGM3. They are fried and I was hoping to replace them. Can any one tell me if these transistors are the ones that burn from poor RC valve cable adjustment. I have some photos of them and wanted to post them in the forum but I can't work out how to do this! can someone please enlighten me.
Cheers

Yeah they're the ones. Is the circuit board fried too or not?

To post a pic, have it hosted somewhere (like photobucket) then post the link to it with [ i m g] at the beginning, and [ / i m g] at the end - withought the spaces.

My PGM3 had the same problem. Fortunately, only one burned and I was able to replace it. It's kind of a pain to dig the compound stuff out and a little difficult to solder.

I got the part from www.partstore.com. The part # is 2SA1385-Z. They're $4.73 a piece. My PGM is still working.
