The NSR was awesome, bogged down below 8K when hot, after 2 laps (rich on the needles?) which made riding a bit tricky, and the poor old clutch plates took a hammering to keep revs up above 8K. The new MAXXIS Slicks (SL1 - 28.5 Lbs) I used were ...well, not good! Soft front was OK, the rear....nope, never again! A$450 wasted!
Be Bridgestones for sure next time. Reckon there's 3 secs a lap in it. About the same time on the RVF, but brakes and suspension are lacking in comparrison. So tyres are it?....Couldn't be the rider...Hmmmffff!
Any Aussie riders, although it's not sanctioned by M.A., go there. July, 2007.
