Poser's Page

Mon Oct 11, 2004 10:49 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hey y'all. i just had a look at the poser's page and i must say that I'm a little disappointed that my 300 is still at the top.

I've done some more to it since it first appeared, but I'm not gonna tot up any more points 'cos it probably ain't fair.

So come on guys, get modifying. I have a set of NSR cases right here waiting for the other case to be welded on for a 450 V3. some one had better beat me to it.

I've also got a CR500 now, so as soon as I source another one we're gonna attempt a 1000 twin. I reckon the frame's up to it!

Question is... will it take me to say "I bet we can have that running (talking about the NRS one day!) by the end of the afternoon!" to get the Tig welder up and running and make the 450 triple a reality?! ;)

Also, it's kinda' hard to displace you from the top when, although many other NSR's are using the same TYGA parts, you actually designed them in the first place!!

Maybe I should handicap you for that very reason? :)

I'll be moving up soon. Tyga should have my triples for my 96 RS250 USD forks and Brembo calipers and I also have added Tyga GP pipes back when they were offering free shipping and free aluminium silencers, what a deal.

What about engine upgrades, Hi flow cages/stuffers, carbon fiber reeds, Tyga mod air box, Dayton air filter, what will those get me for points ? I'm at 48, I'll be closer to the top, but no one's going to beat Matt ! I think the editor need to add more options or finer break down for point ? I will send pictures once I'm complete with grades. Was think of that 300cc kit, but my money went to all the other things instead. May be later !!!!!!

If we break the points system down any more, my little "Nessie" is gonna' look really shamefull!

Once one of the trickest bikes in the UK (imported 10 years ago, and -as far as I know - the first ever Repsol replica!) with it's Ti Ethos pipes, HRC goodies, and then new-to-the-market Dragon Corsa's, it now looks rather sad! :(

I have HRC loom, CDI & reeds in my 21, will eventually be painted up in either the Telefonica Moviestar or Camel colours (cant decide which!?). Carbon cans fitted to unknown pipes.

At the moment it got no clothes on as I'm making sure everything is ok as its been stood for a couple of years. Also need to make a seperate loom for the lights as the HRC one doesn't have any of that. Hopefully going to be ready for a few track days early next year.

Sad You just had to rub it in didn't you!

It runs on 2 when its warm! Does that count? I just dont know when I'll get round to it! I've got to finish off restoring my 5 turbo, then I need to do a big end bearing change on a Clio, then I need to fit a high flow fuel pump to the Supra and change the plugs, but I'm sure when I get out to the garage I'll just work on the bike! Very Happy Wink

Can I add the points up from both my MC18 and my MC28SE...should get quite a good score that way Wink . Both have race replica paint, MC18 in cabiin colours (cheers Si) but other than the braided hoses and aftermarket clip ons its pretty standard. The MC28 has JHA pipes, modded air box, rear sets and full Marlboro race paint and soon the MC21 flywheel fitted. Not many points for either on their own, but if I can add them together it may be reasonable!

Well, now Paul's got all excited and wants his bike on the poser's page, but shamefully it can't even get enough points to get half way up the scale. Of course, he's complaining that there's no points for engine tuning or the like. Quite an understandable moan, so come on Andy, let's have a few more catagories up there.

Actually, I think there should be double points for the most standard bikes. Anyone can mod, but to retain the standard gear after 11 years? That's dedication!
