Float height & compression reading MC18

Tue Oct 17, 2006 6:12 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi All,

I am busy fixing a MC 18, not sure which model, has TA20A carbs and upswept pipes.
Compression reading is 800kpa rear and 700kpa front, is this within acceptable limits?
The bike does not run smoothly, and the revs climb by themselve. Think there may be a float level problem, can anyone advise as to the correct float height?
I would also love to access the workshop manual on the site how does that work? Very Happy Very Happy

not a 100% on this but if the revs go up by themselve is sounds like the crank seals mite be gone
