I have bought the TYGA GP seat, but would like to have it closed underneath, to avoid water and mud getting in to the electronics.

I think the strange delivered plate looks very flimsy and can't be installed very easily and not water tight.

What are other people doing, going without, have made another plate or ?

Of course: plate is to be fiddled in there or secured by selftapping screws or none at all.

On the road, I would expect a lot of crud and water in the electronics.

I would like a fiber or alu plate that could be screwed in, eventually with a foam gasket along the edge.

Maybe a request to TYGA for a full-size undertray is in order? They have a habit of producing fibre products when there is suitable demand!

Get a list of names who would be interested together, then drop TYGA a line, and you may find they will agree to manufacture one if you gather say 10 deposits!

Just a thought.

I ran without the under tray piece for a couple of years, but seeing as the 300's now road ready I'll be looking to stop the road poo from sneaking up into the bits and bobs. I'll probably just fit the 'cheesy' plastic thing we provide and cable tie it on there. I'm a cable tie and gaffer tape expert!

Seriously though, we've never had any complaints, but if you'd like something a little more substantial then it could be arranged, but we're not into making one off (unless it's for my bike ), so we'd need some sort of commitment from you guys.

There is the issue of cost of course but it's not exactly a huge piece, or particularly complex.

Let's see what the rest of you think.

I'll have one, maybe two when I buy a seat for my other NSR. At a reasonable price ;o)
