mc16 : the rc valve servo has a little point on it which either points towards hi or low written on the plastic casing, i am wondering what hi and low stand for? is it open and closed valves? or top and bottom cylinders? as i am putting my engine back in and am unsure how the valve cables are supposed to be set up?
Hi,
I just own a NSR125R but the so called "Auslasssteuerung" is for the engine exit. If you choose "low" you have a good performance from 0 to 7000up/m but over 8000up/m there is nothing. If you choose High you doesnt have good speed under 8000up/m but after 8k up/m you get the speed you need.
Normaly the Auslasssteuerung is managed by a blackbox but if you turn this off you can set the high/low settings.
A explanation in german from my Webpage (use google or so for a translation):
Go to http://www.thundercloud.info/nsr/?s=info and choose "Unterschiede anden Auslasssteuerungen (TV78/TV124)" and click on "Los gehts".
I dont know about mc16 but for all the other models mc18 and up lo and hi is the position of the rc valve. When the servo points to Lo the valve is in the lowest point and when it points Hi the valve is in the highest point. If i am wrong please someone correct me.
That's correct. Low is where the valve will be when closed at low RPM, and High is for full power at high RPM.
The only real way to set the valve up is to remove the exhaust and 'feel' up there to check the valve is flush once fully open. _________________ MC21SP Plaything
