what kind of extra power can i get out of it?
or can i fit some bling on it? would the generator and the batt hold?
thinking of changing the head light to bright white(looks good with fighting blue i guess)...
and maybe add a few extra ground lights...
also thinking of putting on a digital temp guage and a petrol guage. anyone done this before? if so pictures please and what to look out for the mods and where ot get the stuff.

Mechanically to get more power you will need to put '18 barrels, pipes and carbs on it, this is being discussed on another post.
Replacing the headlight bulb will give a brighter light and is a good idea but I wouldn't add too many other lights as the powervalves need a healthy kick from the battery to run smoothly.
Not sure about a digital gauge, have you seen anything you want to use?

i saw this engine temp guage on a gsxr 750 it was kind of cool to see what temp the enigine was working. but for the gas guage i think i will skip cause when i hit reserve i go straight to gas station anyway. its just going to be more wires. but for the light i will for sure change!
i also saw this topend rebuild kit on txxa saying that mc16 piston rings... can be replce with mc18 if the right stuff is baught... said nothing about pipes or carbs... thinking of doing a rebuild this spring...would mc18 bits snape stright on carbs barrels? 16 bits are hard to get...

try this;

'18 barrels fit on a '16 block, they have bigger exhaust ports and need '18 pipes to help the gases escape. '16 carbs are smaller than '18,'21 and '28 models and will fit on a '16 with some mods. Once all this is done it should make 55-60 bhp. I'm starting to collect all the bits required also Laughing

hmm i see, i sould start to get the stuffs too then...
by the way when i come home from a ride my gf always say i smell like gas... and i do!! when i get out of the shower i can smell it too. is it normal? i hate the smell, was thinking of getting a 4 stroke just for this reason... plus ok we all know that 2 stroke eats a lot of gas. but the smell is driving me cazy. was even finding myself looking at a bandit the other day... and the first thing i ask is 100km how much gas and does it smell?
arrr! need help here! might get another bike if this problem is not sorted, it just smells bad.
