your not having much luck at the moment are you?
is the temp gauge reading high or is the compression just going into the water jacket,i had a gasgas that did the same and it was the "o-ring" channels in the head that had a crack through it when it warmed up.I know nsr's dont have o-ring type head gaskets but the gasket might be gone.

dont think its the head gasket mate, cooling system seems to be working wrong way around the rad empties to fill up the expansion tank Confused If rad and expansion tank are full theres enough coolant in the system so bike doesnt run hot,i drained the system and refilled let the bike run with cap off etc, checked thermostat and water pump and both of these are fine.Still the same.
can i run bike witout expansion tank, ive seen hrc coolant bottle mod listed in the marketplace?

has the mc18/21 thermostat assembly got this small outlet which goes to top of expansion tank?
Tonight i have put a 4mm thread in small thermostat outlet and inserted a screw, blocking off outlet,my theory is that the coolant has now nowhere to escape too,so engine should run at normal temp.
Has anyone any views on this?
