Parts dealers/suppliers???

Thu Nov 18, 2004 9:37 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Anyone know what dealers/suppliers are good to use? I want to rebuild my MC21 SP engine eg pistons, rings, gaskets bearings etc

Need them to be able to ship to UK or even better be in the UK!!

Also does anyone have a spare SP side casing they dont need? The water pump seal has blown on mine!

Thanks in advance!!

You can actually order the majority of parts from a Honda Dealer in the UK (not that they'll always admit it, or be particularly helpful), but you will need to give them part numbers. You can get these from our Online Parts Manual (currently MC16, MC21, & MC28 models only).

Failing that, try a V.polite PM to StephenRC45, he may help you out, or dare I say it, TYGA Performance! They will ship anywhere, and even after doing so are usually cheaper than buying anywhere in the UK!! Shocked

Andy.

Thanks for that! Priced up stuff between apex and tyga, they work our roughly the same by the time shipping and possible import duty is imposed by customs on tyga's stuff.

Just wondered though, how can apex charge us £520 for the same crank shaft from tyga which is £323?????? Mad Even with import duty on it doesnt break the £400 barrier from tyga!

Makes you wonder how much do these parts actually cost!

On this occasion though apex wins, only because I dont need a crank (I hope) and I can claim the VAT back Very Happy

Thats what I did with my MC21 when I was bringing it in! Actually the customs guy was most suggestive in what the value that should be recorded at, (£300) Nice!!!

Even though, buying what I need from Apex and claiming that VAT back is still cheaper than buying from Tyga and NOT paying any import duty!

It must be just the specific parts I need to buy causing this difference, as I said before the cranks are the babies to watch yourself on!
