Have been looking for a CA titled MC28 for awhile with no luck. Now there is a NSR250R MC21 for sale locally. I dont know too much about MC21s.I hope you guys can tell me a little bit more about the bike and if this is a good deal or not (note CA titled NSR are hard to find).

Here is the link

Well, that's a poor idea for starters, a really really poor one, click here for my RVF to NSR swap horror story.

But if you must you must, in the UK you'd get 2 reasonable MC21s for RVF money but I know clean titled ones like this in the states and CA esp are well sought after.
The top may be fine and running no real mods and in the temps you get over there it may not need any setup at all* but at 38xxx km's the crank is running on borrowed time.

As regards mc21 vs mc28 there is (despite what several members of this forum will tell you) nothing between them once you've derestricted either, the '28 is a bit of a bitch to derestrict, the '21 a piece of cake.
Restricted both are rubbish and there is real danger a push cyclist will come past you.

*this is not a fact, just a hypothesis, always get any new stroker checked over or join me in the $1500 parts bill queue.

Like Fontyyy says at 38xxx km if its not had a crank it might well do very soon so budget in another $1000 for the crankshaft and labour.

I wont even talk about a '28 trying to be as good as a '21 lol.

BUT like Stephen says you dont know if its had a crank or if it needs one so I WOULD as its got the correct title and it seems to look OK try to knock him down a bit even if its $500 so at least if the crank does go or needs redoing sometime soon then you have some money towards the $1000 you need to pay Stephen to rebuild the crank look here for crank rebuilding

Well, they're (mainly) English words I suppose, but not in any particular order.
