Hey Luke, I hope that you're still going for spokey dokey rims. No naked NSR is ever gonna be complete with them Wink

Matt

Yep them rims from the yz motard are going on, just trying to sort out getting the nsr back from thailand.

The rumor mill says its in Scotts shop, oh dear.

The fairing i have found is bad ass old school TT styley, with proper ironing board seat. Oh how the plastic race replica crowd will cry, should be a hoot with the 13-42 gearing... ye harrr

Ahh yes, Scott's shop eh? Can't handle it in there these days. Too many loud mouthed, tattood, shaven headed louts! Scares me!

I got a spare set of spokey dokeys. Wasn't sure if I should bang them on the 500 retard or build an NSR cafe racer with 'em. 2nd option sounds like a laugh.

The biggest issue is from a cosmetic angle. Now let's be honest, I can sit and stare at my 300 engine for hours. In fact I sit in my workshop every morning and drink my coffee while looking at the motor and searching for inspiration. BUT....it ain't exactly pretty to the common blokes eyes now is it?

I remember my old 350LC. Now that was worth looking at. Shiny boost bottle and lots of interesting bits & bobs, but the NSR motor, and just about any other cowling covered motor is all wires, hoses and things. Not pleasant, and quite frankly a little tricky to try and "polish" up.

I even dumped the fairing on my GSXR1100 'cos the whole bike was a big fat pig. Street fighter spec was far more aggressive looking with that massive engine. Horrible bike though.

Anyway, back to topic. When it gonna be ready Luke?

13-42 gearing? If it's a 60hp lump that sounds like fun.....

My 45hp (could be more with the race can) MC11 goes like stink on 14-44..

Recovering slowly, took it out for the first time since the crash on Monday - to go for physio! The irony wasn't lost on my wife though, who wasn't impressed.

Bike still needs a little more fettling though, still has a couple of probs post-repair.

Have fun, don't hit any sheep Very Happy
