Hey guys Im here in the USA, looking for an NSR 250 but is really rare so I might go for the DUCATI 748, they both are similar price range around $5000-$7000, honestly I've never driven the NSR before, but ducati seem pretty fast, should I keep searching for the NSR or just go ahead and buy the DUCATI?
Now thats really helpfull . _________________ Harley Davidson is the worlds most efficient way to turn petrol into noise without the harmful side effect of horsepower.
Hold out for an NSR, 748's will still be available in 5 years, the NSR I dont think so as it's getting to the stage where existing owners will not part with them.
It would take a silly offer for me to part with mine and I'll only accept it if the only other way of getting money was to sell a kidney. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
The Ducati 748 has some amazing looks. but, the power delivery sucks. It honestly falls on it's face! if your going to buy a Ducati buy a 996 or 998, you'll enjoy it much more.
My girl friend has a 748 and it was fun, just not really fun. _________________ Charles Gallant

Oh I get it the picture was a joke
I didnt offer up a view as I dont know anythig about the 748.
Ive never ridden or owned one and have no plans too ever.
I figured it would be best to let people who have ridden a 748 like Stephen,Andy and Charles to offer up their comments. _________________ Harley Davidson is the worlds most efficient way to turn petrol into noise without the harmful side effect of horsepower.
748's a nice bike, but as has been said if I was going to get one I would go for 916. Same bike more poke. You have to remember a stockish 916 will only just break 100hp, a 748 doesnt have that much power or torque.
However it has a fair bit more bottom/middle than an NSR. Depends what your after really, they are chalk and cheese.
You have to wind a 748 up like an NSR in some ways to get it to go. If you have to wind something up though I guess you might as well wind an NSR lol. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
I have both. The Ducati is a truck compared to NSR. If you don't know how to work on bikes the Ducati can drain your wallet pretty fast. But with the NSR you'll be lucky to find somebody who will even work on it; so your still going to be a mechanic. Getting parts is pain for both bikes. I guess I like them for different reasons, but the Duc would be the first to go because its more easily replaced. _________________ james

Both bikes have a lot of character, depends what sort of character you want. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
An NSR buys you a lot more exclusivity... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
