MC28 Stator to a MC21 Loom

Fri Oct 26, 2007 1:15 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi there, just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Stator difference between the MC21 and MC28,
I'm running a MC28 engine with the MC21 Loom and a guy who brought a motor off me said that the 28 stator won't send out the correct current and could cook my Reg/Recitifier. these are the same on the 21-28's Reg's haven't changed
I've asked numerous people in the know and they said it'll be sweet, apart from the Stator loom being shorter which I've already sorted. Can anyone help? Cheers

The reg/rec is the same (or similar) item, and so are the main physical attributes of the stator.

Adjust the harness length to suit, and let the reg/rec worry about the rest.

Thanks man just what I wanted to hear. Figured the Reg/Rec wasn't an issue as they have the same part number. Besides that the Reg/Rec's job.
Thanks again
