Well Andy and stephen i finally got my engine in
As with any rebuild there are a number of small problems, first is the powervalve cables supplied, they seem to be a bit long and will be at the limit of their adjustment, are there any slightly shorter cables available?
Also because you guys built it for me i have no information on spark plugs needed or carb jetting recomendations any advice her would be appreciated,i got mc21 carbs with hrc jet kit,hrc stuffers and my powerjets are blocked off.
My mc18Tyga exhausts fitted fine apart from the mounting hole not lining up where it bolt onto the frame, this will be sorted at work tomorrow along with can hanger brackets.
Then i'll get around to finish fabricating my alloy subframe so i can fit my f3 seat unit again supplied by you
cheers Rob.
"Sling the biggest jets you can find in it!", I imagine Steve will say!
The RC Valve cables thing is probably because of the unique servo arrangement on the MC16. Someone posted a link recently for a company that makes custom cables, I'll see if I can find it... unless Fontyyy beats me too it! _________________ Andy.

It operates backwards - the opposite direction to all the other models! The position of it is slightly different too, but I'm not sure if that would effect the length of the cables. _________________ Andy.

If you want it to bog.
Scary as it sounds I'm running the smallest jets supplied in the HRC kit on mine with open carbs.
I will confirm the point Andy makes all the time that every motor is different as mine hasnt seized yet and still feels fluffy on 165's if I remember correctly.
I really do need to get it on a dyno once I've found my key's. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!
I'd start with a B needle on the middle groove, 185/188 mains, and a 42 slow jet. Then take it to a dyno and check it's in the ball park and work from there. That """"""""""SHOULD"""""""""" be fairly rich, but every engine is different so don't hold me responsible. _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...

I used 175's when it was only a little 250 ,now it's a big 300, i'll stick in me 195's and see how it runs.
What about running it and heat cycles etc etc?
cheers Rob
