Here is the deal, I have never liked AOL, and that hasn't changed.
I am not having AOL sending complaints to the ISP of nsr250.net (my domain that hosts these forums) about email abuse originating from this domain. The emails in question are automated notifications of Private Messages, responses to subscribed threads, etc.. These are emails that YOU, users of this forum, who signed up on your own, asked for and approved.
If I get one more complaint for AOL, I will be blocking all traffic from AOL, I will then delete ALL users who have signed up for accounts on these forums with AOL email addresses, and I will not allow users to sign up for accounts with AOL email addresses in the future.
!!!DO NOT USE AOL!!!
There are many more options for free email out there. Use them or don't use these forums. Plain and simple! _________________ Charles Gallant

In fact your the account that actually caused the complaint of abuse from AOL.
The issue I have right now is AOL is complaining to my ISP. If my ISP gets more complaints they can shut down my account. What does this mean? No more forums. So you can see where I am with this.
This isn't a "your ISP sucks" issue, this is an AOL is a pain in the ass to deal with on all fronts. The other option is to simple turn off ALL communications coming out of the forums. This means no emails at all, no registration confirmation emails (making it real hard for new users to sign up), no PM notifications, no subscribed thread notifications, etc. I don't want to do that just cause a few people are stuck to using AOL as their email when they can go get something for free from so many other providers (think Yahoo, gmail ).
So ye, if I get another complaint from AOL on your account, then your account is gone. Sorry to be a hard ass on this but it's my domain, my account with my ISP and my decision to block an internet company who has the avg lowest common denominator of users and feels it needs to protect it's users by pushing it's weight on everyone else. _________________ Charles Gallant
Like I said, best you delete me now then chap. At least that way you wont have any more complaints. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
I can set you up an e-mail forwarder if you want it Steve?
All I need to do is change your registered e-mail address on the Forum to an NSR-WORLD one, then set it to automatically forward to your AOL. You shouldn't notice any difference, but I wouldn't do it without your say so. _________________ Andy.

In fact, I have just checked, and you already have an unused NSR-WORLD e-mail account that was set up a long time ago. All you need to do is give me the nod, and I will change the setting. _________________ Andy.

I didn`t know AOL was complaining?
I hope they haven`t been complaining on my behalf.
I use AOL because I`ve never, ever, had any problems with them. Plain & simple.
Still, not much good from your point of veiw.
I hope it`s not going to be too much of a pain in the backside to arrange another email address.
If you have another email address, you should be able to go into your account (click on the Profile link at the top of the page) and change your email settings to use the other email address. Should take you a minute at most. _________________ Charles Gallant
