ram air on a 2-stroke?

I can easily set it up but I am still getting used to how 2-strokes get it done. Any ill effects of points to consider?

Just the risk of melting things if the carbs can't flow enough fuel to keep up with the forced air...

Jha and HarcPro (along with HRC), have made pressurized airboxes for NSR, RS, etc. so it is possible. General rule is +2 on main jets but this should be confirmed with experimentation. I used an EGT (exhaust gas temperature) gauge when setting up my Jha MC28 system. I did not use the supplied fuel tank/air box regulator but instead made a switch/solenoid using a front brake pressure pressure switch.

Oh yeah, I need to pressurize the tank too, forgot about that. Wink
Maybe run a hose from the airbox to the fuel tank vent line? The tank would see vacuum though most of the time, not sure if that is a good thing. My bike has no pump, it's gravity feed.

If I was pushing much pressure I could see a need to change the pipe to make sure all the mixture that is forced through the cylinder out the exhuast port gets shoved back in at the right time. starting to sound more complicated than I thought.

Look up the RS250 manual for ram air. They use a solenoid linked the front brake, and about 10-12mm ID. The line comes out of the tank, through the solenoid into a small catch tank, then on to the airbox. (I think the solenoid is in front of the catch bottle. not sure. Catch bottle is there to get fuel vapour fron the tank)

I have an image ram-air box of HRC manual from NSR500V and built my system following that. RS250/125 should be same. Let me know if you would like the picture.

If you have a system I would be really interested in your impressions of it. Did you notice much of a difference?
