MC18 Pod Filters

Sat Mar 29, 2008 6:40 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi . I'm about to put a pair of Jolly Moto pipes on my std MC18 , as I will require a dyno set up would it be a good idea to fit pod filters or just keep the std air box with the holes drilled in the lid ( drilled but taped up at the moment )?
I only use the bike for runs out with the local 400 greybike lads ( I wouldn't want to let the side down Smile ) and the occasional track day .

Pod's sound better (an NSR on pod filters and pipes will be too loud for a quiet trackday), look better and may ultimately give a tad more top end power, but the mid may suffer a horse or two loss and they can be harder to setup (one of the main things the airbox does is stop turbulance around the carbs).

Your choice really.

It's definately the best setup for a road bike.
