PGM IV Test Method

Sat Mar 29, 2008 8:11 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi to all...

I have about 3 or 4 PGM IV units (I don't really remember how many) and i am wondering how can i test them to see if they working ok... Is it possible this to be done if i use an HRC Wiring Harness with out to be plugged on the motorcycle...? What i mean is just to conect a wiring harness to a battery and then plug the PGM and to see if it will oparate... Or this is too risky and maybe this way i can create any short-circuit and damage the PGM...?
Regards
Michael

If you just power it up it will say either "err2" or "err3", one means "can't see the TPS" and the other means "can't see the RC servo", can't remember which is which. Or it may say "off" which means it thinks the run switch is in the "off" position.

But you'll achieve nothing, to know it's a working PGM you've got to confirm it works the powervalves.

Hi Fontyyy...

I see your point and you are correct... What's the point if i can't confirm that the power valves are working...?

Thanks for the help
Michael
