Apart from everything you just said, you're absolutely right nxrsr20!
I have an HRC unit on my MC21, and the lights etc work fine. It's the MC28's which don't.
On the MC21 you have to make individual connectors for the HRC wires, as the plugs on it do not match the standard NSR loom. All the wires match, except one (orange / blue I think) which is not present in the HRC loom.
You'll see what I mean when you compare the two looms:

You don't need a HRC loom to fit the Delimiter Box on the MC21.
The box does exactly the same job as the documented wire splice on the standard loom. As Dave has said, the HRC delimiter box will not work the same way on a 'standard loom' MC28.
My NSR has a delimiter box - all I can say is 'sh*t- it seems to work!'
A recent 'off public road' run - very slightly downhill, it was going past 12000 RPM in top and way off the kph clock. I quit before it ran out of steam. _________________ Rich

All the HRC loom and HRC delimiter harness let you do is run a nice tidy loom with no bits of wire you don't need rather than some Medusa mess that will probably short circuit just as the final call goes out for your race. You need both bits, the HRC main loom has no black plug to take the PGM, it has the other half of those odd plugs that are on the delimiter harness instead.
This is race/track bike only, no road kit provision and is totally a worthwhile mod for a bike that doesn't run any road kit, the stock wiring loom is in the same league as the oil pump/bottle, i.e. massive, in the way, weighs a ton and generally very annoying. The HRC one is just the few wires needed.
They do nothing a wire spliced normal loom doesn't do, all the mc21's trickery is in the PGM and as you have to hack a standard loom up to fit the "delimter" it does seem rather an odd thing to fit on a roadbike. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread

I was all ready to butcher some wires when my MC21 arrived, until I found the little black box. Saved one job at least, whilst I was unseizing my brakes! _________________ Rich

We don't think it does anayway! Some rumours of it doing different things with the timing curve but unsubstantiated by anyone official.
It is an odd thing to do, unless you're sold it on the pretext of needing it for decent horsepower gains!
Ultimately, I suppose I could return my loom to stock as I kept the original plugs, but I've no idea why I - or anyone else would want to... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
