All you need to know is the primary and the secondary resistance... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

Yes, but ultimately what we're after is the mutiplication factor of a coil (which is all it does). You put 12v in and need 'X' volts out. _________________ MC21SP Plaything

an nsr 125 ignition coil cannot be used and I cannot purchase a new ignition coil, therefore my only option is to identify a coil with the same primary and secondary resistance that runs of a 12v battery.
does anyone know of a pattern part manufacturer in the uk?
Companies like M&P do replacement coils for many bikes - I have some on my FJ1100. If you have one good coil, try measuring that, then contacting a spares supplier, or even a breaker and seeing what they have to match.
Dyna are a manufacturer, so perhaps a web search will help you? _________________ MC21SP Plaything
