socket for nissin brakes

Tue Jun 03, 2008 5:12 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

DOes anyone know what the trade name is for the bolthead pattern used on the front MC21 brakes? Even better would be where I can get the socket for em.

Looking at replacing the seals on mine and giving em a complete clean.

torx socket

That is what I thought, however a torx is a six corner, straight sided lobe pattern whereas the bolt head is a 5 corner, tapered sided lobe. DOesnt appear to be the torx plus either. Am puszzled

Hi Maxim,

I goofed, took another look last night and they are 6 lobe heads. They do have a double tapered base tho which doesnt seem right for torx. I'll just bite the bullet and get of torx sockets and see how they go.

Cheers
