Llandow trackday/s

Wed Jan 19, 2005 9:04 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Andy Hook/Cheap trackdays phoned me and has asked me to pass on the following info as for some reason this site wont let him post.

Andy now has the track for the Thursday as well,it will be open to all 2/4 strokes but there will be no fast group, the price is still the same sixty eight pounds. So those who wanted to do the sat but cant because of the dyno day(nsr monkey) can now do the thursday.

Cheap trackdays web site is now up and running,so if you have not had a e mail from them you can go on their site and download the forms. If you have sent off the forms and money Andy has got them but wont be cashing any cheques for about 2 weeks. He said sorry to the people who have not had forms/e mail yet but he did tell us that he would not be sending them until the 22nd Jan.

One last thing,he also said there are only about 8/9 places left for the Friday! Shocked

Got a worried call today from NSRMonkey regarding this 9 places left thing, rang cheaptrackdays and apparently those of us who've said here that we're going are already on, he said he's reserved places for 14 people from here Razz
Phew.

Well the website emails now work!(cock up with the domain server)
I am trying to keep you lot together for a few sessions thats why you should all get yellow wristbands.
I am hoping to get the NSR lads and lasses on camera as i will hopefully have a new on -board system fitted to one instructors bike.
If some clever bod knows how muck about or host it / whatever, the tape is yours.

I will be moving riders around later as it is really difficult to judge slow/ intermiadiate, ultimatley this is upto the clerk of the course. We are putting safety first as riders WILL be getting tired , this is a TWO group day and you will be able to be out for over three hours.
i went out on the circuit yesterday in the cold and rain as i really am crap in the wet and needed the time to re-build some confidence.
Now i did 2-3 15 min sessions , yes im pretty unfit but i am aching pretty badly today, it may look like a doddle from the track photos but i can assure you its not easy ! it will be even harder in the summer Shocked

If you have sent in you booking forms you should now have your instructions/confirmation.
If you have not and want to play do it NOW! there was only 36 places for the whole day.
just download a booking form www.cheaptrackdays.com

The bad / great thing about Llandow is that it never lets up. It's a constant effort to get the corners to flow together, and the mental pressure gets you as tired as the physical exertion.

That's not to say you can't go slow, but if you're pushing below say 48 seconds, then you're gonna gert tired. Wink

You CAN straightline the chicane, and you CAN get both sides of the fairing down at the bus stop. Work on those... Wink
