Hey there, well this is the first time i've ever posted and am in awe of all the technical talk. As i haven't even passed my bike test yet i only grasp the bob basic but am well up for learning.
I have a MC28se but presently am practising before my test on the quality bike that is a cb100!!!! Please try to contain your laughter It is pretty embarrasing but im prepared to humble myself as eventually i will be on the PROPER bike and hopefully be leaving other humiliated cb100 riders for dust
My bike at the mo has original paintwork but is in need of freshning up on one side. What do you reckon is a good way to go.....stay original or what really. I know loads of people think the Rothmans looks the dogs b******* but i'm not really feeling that(please excuse the Darius like talk) opinions would be greatly appreciated. Well I'm off to cane that cb100, well maybe just pootle lightly
welcome to the site,
AT LAST a NSR riding lady......
nice bike by the way (the 28SE not the other) but we all had to start somewhere mine was a yamaha RD125lc.
are you looking to respray the whole bike, if so i would hold out for a few months after you have passed ya test and you are used to the bike, its weight etc..
personally if i was gonna do a race rep NSR i think i would go for a rarer job than rothmans or repsol....maybe something like cup noodle.
good luck whatever you decide _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

So you are saying your MC28 is currently in Rothmans? If so, are you sure it's an SE and not an SP? Check the wheels to see if they have Magtek cast into one of the spokes.
If your '28 turns out to be an SP, then even if you don't like the Rothmans colours, I'd personally advise you to keep the original bodywork, as it's a limited edition. This doesn't mean you shouldn't have an optional colour scheme, but keep the Rothmans stuff safe in the loft or something, for a later date!
Easiest thing to do would be to go for a colour scheme that utilises the same colour wheels! That way you can just swap the tank and bodywork whenever you feel like a change!
Hey Babe, there i did it as well why not come to our trackday, dyno weekend, myself and jeff350lc will be coming your way to collect Mat Grant who lives near you, im sure we could make room in the van ,oh and i passed my test on a TZR125.
Cheers for the invite Wayne, but i think a trackday might slighlty endanger all the lives of those riding when i would be anywhere near them
I'm just grasping the concept of roundabouts and trying to get anywhere near proficient on a track may prove a little ummmm challenging and probably fatal, maybe after a few more weeks on the good old cb100 and i maybe prepared but I DOUBT IT
Is it a trackday specifically for nsr's or open to any bike?,don't worry i'm not thinking of bringing the old cb100,but what a sight that beauty would be,unrivalled no doubt.
Going back to earlier bout the spray job my bike is the original blue, green and white. P.S i also have the H.R.C. card with swarbrick cans and jets.

The trackday is a 2-stroke track day, so it will be NSRs, RGVs, RDs, TZRs etc.
Last year there was a lovely NSR150SP there, ridden by a girl who'd only passed her test that week! She probably learned more that day than anyone else, especially as the track was a little damp!
the track day/dyno weekend is not untill june. lots of time to practice before hand. if you still don't want to ride just come along and take the piss out of us lot. and andy would love to see another MC28 at the dyno day. i,d be more concerned on where wayne is gonna find space for you in the van
passed my test on a H100 honda ( yeh go on take the piss ) but i also had an RD250 and 400
i did my 125 test on a DT175 but shhhhh the tester didnt know. I had an RC45 waiting in my garage when i passed well just after infact.
As for the trackday, what make you think any of us can ride round a roundabout, let alone ride well enough to be on a track! _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
