sorry as this is probably a question thats been asked umpteen times, but I've done a search and can't find anything related. I've also been on Tyga website and can't find the answer there either.
So, if anyone knows, I'd very much appreciate knowing.

Had a look at what I needed to do on the weekend for the welding of the adapter onto the pipes and found out the stock pipes are approximately 2-3 mm larger in diameter than the adaptor/silencer inside diameter. Any suggestions on how to get around this would be appreciated. So far my best idea is to get a stepped sleeve made up that will slide over the existing pipes and allow the tyga bits to be put in place.
oh yeah, how far into the tyga silencers should the pipe end extend?
Cheers,
that might help or maybe matt from tyga could tell you
No. I tried to do the opposite - fit standard silencers to the Tyga chambers (to try and make the bike a bit more "standard" to pass registration checks).
Although they have a similar 3-bolt attachment, the bolts are spaced further outwards on the OEM parts (going from memory here).
You could always get a cheap second set of OEM chambers, remove the old flange and replace with a custom made one to suit the Tyga silencers. I don't know what effect this combination would have on the tune though.....
tyga cans will fit , i fitted tyga cans on my mc18 , all you have to do is elongate the bolt holes on your stnd pipes, all you need is a small rotary file in an electric drill
FWIW, the MC16 pipes are indeed different diameter to the MC21 pipes. I ended up putting a set of unknown aftermarket cans on the 16 after grinding the pipes down. The Tyga cans do fit the MC21 pipes, tho I also had to elongate the holes on the standard flange as well as cutting a sort section off the pipe end to allow the tyga cans to bolt up tight to the flange.
thanks very much everyone. I was talking to Tony at Gibson pipes at the Ace Cafe on Sunday and he said he could make me some to slip on, so I'll either take him up or possible have a go at elongating as suggested.
Hi, I recently bought an MC21 with standard chambers and aluminium tyga silencers fitted. I've since bought tyga chambers and so I have removed the tyga silencers and noticed that there was an aluminum adapter plate about an inch thick that bolted onto the ends of the silencers so that they would fit to the standard pipes. Since I no longer need these adapters I would be willing to part with them if you need them. _________________ MC21 Honda NSR250. TYGA 300 conversion.
